Welcome to Om Yoga Shala
Om Yoga Shala is a calm and welcoming yoga space nestled in the quiet surrounds of Langwarrin South.
Set on a rural property, it offers a grounded environment away from the pace of everyday life.
Here, traditional yoga is offered alongside dedicated Yoga for Grief for those navigating loss of any kind. Classes are kept intentionally small, creating a gentle and personal environment where each person is seen and welcomed.
This is a space to slow down, to breathe, and to arrive just as you are.

The Story of Om Yoga Shala
Om Yoga Shala grew from founder Emma’s long connection to the practice of yoga, spanning more than 30 years and rooted in traditional teachings. From the beginning, she was drawn to yoga not simply as a form of exercise, but as a holistic path that supports the body, steadies the mind, and invites a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
After the loss of her partner, yoga became a steady companion—offering space to pause and gently learn how to live alongside profound grief. Through deepening her study with the Yoga and Meditation School of India, this personal journey gradually gave rise to
Om Yoga Shala.

Yoga
At Om Yoga Shala, yoga is offered in its traditional, holistic form—as a way of life rather than simply a physical practice. Movement is guided by breath and awareness, with space also given to breathwork, meditation, and quiet reflection.
Rooted in traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga, classes are guided gently and with care, honouring each person’s individual experience. Whether you are seeking grounding through steady practice, or simply a quiet space to move and breathe, the intention across all classes is the same: to offer a compassionate, non-striving environment where you can reconnect
with your deeper self.
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
The Bhagavad Gita
